Spend the day in the Yorkshire Dales with myself and Mark Reid FRGS, learning about the Nature of the Yorkshire Dales – discover, explore and learn about its amazing array of flora and fauna as well as the incredible physical and human geography of this wonderful area. We'll be on the hill all day so come prepared for walking with your lunch and a drink (whatever the weather!)
The April workshop will be around Malham.
We’ll be visiting the classic geography sites of tarn, gorge and cove, whilst looking for limestone speciality flora as we pass through ancient woodland, glacial-karst landscapes, monastic remains and loads of prehistoric settlements.

The October workshop will be around Aysgarth Falls
Aysgarth Falls has waterfalls with geology laid bare, the Freeholders Wood is an ancient, coppiced woodland home to hazel, dormice a wealth of flora and birdlife. We’ll wander past old stone mines, a Neolithic henge, lead mines and hunt for mosses, ferns and lichens.
