Does anybody ever do it? How good do people need to be? What is the best rope? What if there are no anchors? Do we really need a helmet? What about a krab and a sling? How is confidence roping different from short roping? How steep? How high? What’s the best ratio? If these questions have ever crossed your mind or you’ve wondered why we bother let me help you. We’ll go into the hills and look at ropework in context with a variety of ropes. We get under the skin of what it really entails. This will inform us better on how to train it and what to focus on at assessment. There will be three places for ML trainees on this workshop to ensure a balanced and realistic view of things

At the end of this day you have better understanding of the intricacies, the subtleties, the do’s and don’ts, how to train, how to assess, and how to do ropework as a mountain leader.
